Disconnect the appliance safely
Appliances should be disconnected from electricity, water, and gas before pickup. Gas lines and hardwired connections may require a qualified professional.
Do not move a connected appliance away from the wall just for a photo if doing so could strain a line or cause damage.

Empty, clean, and secure it
Remove food, laundry, dishes, racks, and personal items. Defrost freezers early enough to avoid water on the floor. Secure loose shelves and doors when practical.
Tell us if the appliance has standing water, sharp damage, or another condition that affects handling.

Measure the difficult parts of the route
The appliance may have entered before cabinets, railings, or doors changed. Measure tight openings and photograph basement stairs, elevator entrances, and sharp turns.
Mention whether a door, handrail, or appliance part may need safe removal before the unit can leave.
