Photograph every property area
A house cleanout can include indoor rooms, basement, attic, garage, shed, deck, and yard. Photograph each area separately and explain whether all of it is part of the same pickup.
Mark furniture, equipment, or family belongings that must stay.
- Rooms and closets
- Basement and attic
- Garage and shed
- Yard, deck, or outdoor storage
Map the route to the truck
Confirm whether the truck can use the driveway and whether gates, landscaping, slopes, or parked vehicles reduce access. Outdoor items may require a long carry even on a large property.
Show uneven ground or tight basement and attic stairs before the appointment.
- Driveway access
- Gate width
- Slope or ground condition
- Distance from backyard to loading point
Flag outdoor and restricted materials
List fuel, paint, chemicals, pool products, propane, wet material, and dense debris separately. Do not mix these items into an ordinary household pile.
Advance review prevents restricted material from delaying the rest of the cleanout.
